Anwar: The Untold Story

This film depicts the struggles and triumphs of Anwar Ibrahim in politics, particularly his fight against corruption. The timeline of the story spans from 1993 to September 1998 and is based on a true story. The plot revolves around Anwar's unwavering stance in refusing various forms of bribes and cash from certain parties, as well as his reluctance to use public funds to bail out companies owned by certain leaders' children that have lost billions of ringgit. As a result, he was falsely accused of a massive conspiracy, fired, brutally beaten in prison, and left without medical treatment for several days. From being the best Finance Minister who successfully freed Malaysia from the shackles of debt, he eventually ended up in jail.
