Manager, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

Job Description

The Manager, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) will be responsible for overseeing the safety practices and compliance of the property, ensuring a safe environment for tenants, patrons, and staff.


  • Review, develop and improve organization’s safety management system, ensuring that health and safety risks are identified, assessed and managed with appropriate control measures to comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Develop, implement and review the mall’s EHS Policies and procedures/guidance, ensuring they are up to date with the latest legal and regulatory requirements
  • Review and approve Work applications from contractors and conduct safety induction for contractors
  • Ensure staff, tenants and contractors adhere to established EHS policies and house rules, taking appropriate action where needed on violations or non-compliances
  • Monitor and ensure that inspections are done periodically and vigilantly, and all firefighting systems, chemicals, first aid and safety equipment are well maintained
  • Respond to and resolve day-to-day health and safety issues as required
  • Investigate incidents/accidents and execute sound judgment in dealing with pressing EHS issues that needs immediate attention, while reporting all EHS issues to management with advice and recommended corrective actions
  • Responsible to record, manage and monitor the results and information in the mall’s EHS Risk Assessment Database




  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety with equivalent experience preferably in large facilities and/or retail malls
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in effective EHS management strategies and best practices
  • Sound knowledge on current EHS legislation/regulations and its application
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia and competent in SOP and report writing
  • Able to conduct trainings and presentations
