At Aesop Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, sustainability is embedded into every aspect of the brand—from the ingredients selected to the packaging used and the partnerships nurtured. Guided by a commitment to quality, ethics and environmental stewardship, Aesop continues to set benchmarks for responsible retail within the beauty industry.

Rinse and Return at Pavilion KL
Aesop Pavilion KL welcomes customers to participate in its Rinse and Return initiative, a recycling programme designed to reduce packaging waste and encourage circular practice. Customers may return cleaned and fully dried aluminium, plastic and glass Aesop containers directly to the Pavilion KL signature store. Through a partnership with Kloth Malaysia, all collected packaging will be responsibly recycled. For every container returned, Aesop will donate RM2 to Zero Waste Malaysia, supporting environmental awareness and community-driven sustainability efforts. Total donations are capped at RM15,000. This initiative reflects Aesop’s longstanding packaging ethos: functional, minimal and designed to minimise environmental impact.
Aesop’s environmental commitments include:
• 100% cruelty-free formulations, with no animal testing or animal-derived ingredients
• An Ethical Sourcing Programme that ensures responsible processes, safe working conditions and dignity for workers
• Progress in sustainable packaging, with over 80% of PET bottles now made using at least 97% post-consumer recycled content
• Introduction of screw-cap variants that reduce plastic usage of 12g per unit with the re-use of a pump.
