Introducing Malaysia’s very first EcoHub, launched at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in partnership with SWCorp Malaysia.
The EcoHub is a community-driven recycling and education space designed to make responsible waste management simple, accessible, and impactful, while strengthening environmental awareness and sustainable living.

Located at Level 6, Pavilion Elite and operating through May 2027, the EcoHub integrates sustainability into the everyday shopping journey – leveraging technology, interactive experiences, and storytelling to drive meaningful behavioural change.
As a destination that welcomes over 30 million visitors annually, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur provides a platform to engage shoppers on recycling, waste segregation, and circular economy principles through accessible sustainability initiatives.

The EcoHub currently comprises a Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) and a Vending Machine (VM). Shoppers can deposit eligible recyclable materials, including PET bottles and aluminium cans, into the RVM and earn reward points via the RVMplus mobile app. Accumulated points can be redeemed for products and rewards at the adjacent VM.

Beyond facilitating recycling, the EcoHub serves as an engagement platform that promotes responsible waste management through educational content on recycling, waste segregation, and circular economy principles. By integrating technology, incentives, and sustainability awareness, the EcoHub encourages greater participation in recycling and supports the adoption of more sustainable everyday practices.

The EcoHub forms part of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s broader sustainability efforts to support environmental awareness and responsible waste management among shoppers and the wider community.
